Terms of Service
Last updated 15 April 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and MoneyMe Ltd (“MoneyMe”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the MoneyMe mobile app and any related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in, or using MoneyMe as a guest, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Who can use MoneyMe
MoneyMe is designed for people aged 14 and over. By using the Service you confirm that you are at least 14 years old. If you are under 18, you should ensure you understand these Terms before accepting them; if anything is unclear, ask a trusted adult or email us.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation (e.g. a school), you warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Educational purpose only — not financial advice
MoneyMe is a financial-education tool. The lessons, scenarios, quizzes, budgets, and any other content in the app are provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
- MoneyMe is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and does not provide regulated financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, debt counselling, or legal advice.
- Nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product.
- Budget tools and scenarios use hypothetical numbers. They do not connect to real bank accounts, cards, or payment rails, and we never process real money on your behalf.
- For personal financial help, visit moneyhelper.org.uk (the UK government’s free service) or consult an FCA-authorised adviser.
4. Your account
You can use MoneyMe as a guest (progress stored on your device) or create a signed-in account. If you create an account:
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- The information you provide (name, email, age band, etc.) must be accurate.
- You agree not to share your account or impersonate anyone else.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, email support@moneymode.app immediately.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or harassing.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app, its security, or its backend.
- Scrape, harvest, or automate access to content except as expressly allowed.
- Upload content that is abusive, infringes others’ rights, or contains malware.
- Interfere with other users’ enjoyment of the Service or attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice where the breach is serious.
6. Your content
Anything you enter into MoneyMe (budget entries, notes, incident logs, goals) remains yours. By storing it through the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, back-up, and display that content solely so we can operate the Service for you. We do not use your personal content to train models, sell to third parties, or show advertising.
7. Our content and intellectual property
MoneyMe, its lessons, scenarios, illustrations, logos, and code are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights owned by MoneyMe Ltd or its licensors. You are granted a personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for your own learning. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works of our content without prior written permission.
8. Privacy and data protection
Your data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under UK GDPR.
9. Fees
MoneyMe is currently free to use. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you the price and terms clearly before you are charged, and you will always have the option to continue using the free parts of the Service.
10. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep MoneyMe running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, or remove features, and occasionally take the Service offline for maintenance. Where changes materially affect you, we will give reasonable notice through the app or by email.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties (express or implied) about the Service, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that it will be error-free. Any decisions you make about your money, career, or studies are your decisions and your responsibility.
12. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
Subject to that, MoneyMe is not liable for:
- indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses;
- loss of profit, revenue, data, or goodwill;
- financial decisions you make based on educational content in the app; or
- any losses arising from unauthorised use of your account due to your failure to keep credentials secure.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed £50 or the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
13. Ending your use of MoneyMe
You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab. Deletion is honoured within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy for retention details). We may also suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to by law.
14. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (Supabase, Sentry, Expo, Apple, Google, Resend) to function. Their terms apply to the parts of the Service they power. MoneyMe is not responsible for third-party products, websites, or services linked from the app.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will tell you inside the app before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, though if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction. Nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.
